Blog Blockage

Focus. FOCUS.

I'm really trying to get back into blogging on a regular basis. I can't go for more than a few paragraphs before I get bored with what I write. Or I start to second guess what I've typed. Over analyzing every idea that comes down the pike.

(I'm amazed I made it this far)

So many things I can blame it on. Isn't that our first response? Blame it on something?

Twitter...Facebook..this whole 140 character mentality.. I would like to blame it on them but truth is, I really enjoy social networking. Maybe that's it. I'm spending all my energy on minutiae and not on forming complete and cohesive thoughts with carefully thought out solutions and observations.

That sounds like too much work. Am I just lazy?

PLUS. There's just SO MUCH BLOGGING out there...why add to the clutter?

What direction do I go with? Should I make it about my family life? Strictly the radio station? Both? Cool shows I've watched on television? Favorite recipes? I don't really have all that much to add, really. My life isn't all THAT interesting.

I've poked around the net to get some ideas on how to get re-energized. A blog makeover may be in the plans. Re-read old posts is another. Just keeping writing is another.

Just keep writing. Let's start off with that.

Just keep writing.

I am resisting the urge to delete everything I just wrote and start over again.

Just keeping writing...

The best blog is what they were originally meant for... is "Your say in the world"

Let it out... no be shame.

I call it the "MTV Real World Syndrome" folks are Niele and want to see what folks are doing in there personal lives.

I toss at least 50% of my posts about myself or things I'm doing...

I don't know if it's working... but I do like the feedback I have been getting from those that don't necessarily comment on my blog.

Keep blogging! When I interact w/someone on Twitter in '140' mode, every once in a while I want to go somewhere for a 'bigger picture' view of who they are. Blogs are great for that.

No need to blog every day, but I've found that having to search too hard for inspiration is usually a sign I need to intentionally plan a break from my routine and do something blog-worthy.
