As an island-wide radio station employee (or "personality" as we like to be called), I work hard at making sure I know what's happening around the island. Although my base of operations is in Hilo, I use webcams, listeners and any resource available to see what's happening around this great Big 'isle of ours.
I wasn't quite aware of high the waves in West Hawaii were. Until I saw some video on Big Island Video News. MOMMY. We don't often get waves this side on the Big Island. Unless it's tsunami..then we have a whole other set of worries to concentrate on.
